Does anyone know how to take videos off youtube and put them in to another video that I am making using Imovie 08?

Here are 2 free ways:

1. Go to Vixy.netJust copy/paste the YouTube URL into the first box.
Then choose 'mov for mac'.
It will convert the video online and then you download the file onto your desktop.
Open iMovie and click File > Import > movies...
Navigate to where the downloaded file is.
Create a new event and import.

2. Download this great, free, open source software called MPEG Streamclip.
You can get it at the link below or from the Apple downloads site.
Once you have it installed, open it and click on File > Open URL...
Copy and paste the YouTube URL into the box and click Open.
Then go to File > Export to QuickTime.
Choose a folder/desktop location and once it's done, open iMovie, click on File > Import > Movies... and navigate to where the file is.
Create a new event and import into iMovie.
Once the events are in iMovie you can drag them into your project.regards, Zyfert.
